Towering, majestic, and bold, the structure stands for the proud people of Tarkio, Missouri. Yesterday, today, and forever.

Tarkio Water Tower
Boring, small, a little town
all can be turned upside-down.
once you see this mighty tower
all can see this small town's power.

Without this source
Tarkio would be parched
like eating a piece of rye bread
without butter.

A glass of water
simplicity
But, a glass of water has a history
no one is able to record.

Jazz and Cavin,
I see that you went right to work with Mr. Martin! I love the poetry that you wrote. Both are totally different than mine, but show a lot of depth and thought. You always do a great job.

Water towers, as a general rule, are not that pretty. But at night, with the floodlights and big red Tarkio letters shining in the night sky, it is a sight to behold.
A majestic reminder of where we come from and a beacon calling us home.

Meerly a big white tower, as most people think, but when you stop and look, what do you really see?
A landmark bold and sturdy, or at night what you really see is an ice cream cone with a cherry on top!
